Eureka – National Fair of Culture and Creativity

Eureka – National Fair of Culture and Creativity is a biennial trade fair organized by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, hosted at the Pordenone Exhibition Center. It is Italy’s premier event dedicated to promoting and enhancing the role of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) in economic development, innovation, and regional identity.

Mission

Eureka aims to:

  • Highlight the economic and social value of culture and creativity
  • Promote cooperation between CCIs and traditional industry sectors
  • Support emerging creative businesses and talent
  • Foster innovation through cross-sectoral collaboration

The fair acts as a national meeting point for professionals, institutions, startups, and companies working across design, fashion, architecture, multimedia, heritage, gaming, performing arts, publishing, and digital culture.

The 2024 edition of Eureka took place on October 29–30 at the Pordenone Exhibition Center, specifically in Halls 5‑bis and 5‑ter. The event brought together 103 cultural and creative enterprises from across Italy and beyond, offering a vibrant platform for exchange, innovation, and business development. More than 350 B2B meetings were held during the fair, facilitating valuable networking opportunities among professionals, institutions, and companies. The program featured over 20 conferences, panel discussions, and technical workshops, covering a wide range of themes from digital innovation to creative entrepreneurship. In addition, dedicated Arenas hosted live presentations, product showcases, and case studies, allowing participants to engage directly with the latest trends and success stories in the sector. The fair welcomed a diverse audience, including industry experts, public bodies, students, and members of the general public, reinforcing its role as a national hub for creative and cultural dialogue.

Impact and Vision

Eureka is more than a fair — it’s part of a broader public policy strategy to boost the competitiveness and visibility of the creative sector in Italy and across Europe. It also serves as a platform for shaping cultural innovation policies, training opportunities, and transnational partnerships.
